Michael died in the Naval hospital, Chelsea, Waltham, Boston of disease, the disease was not specified. His father died in 1900. Michael was brother to John, Thomas, and Patrick all of Lisheenaheiltia, Ellen (wife of William Lester) of Boston, Mary (wife of William Mullen) and Bridget (wife ofWilliam Casley) both living in Ireland. He arrived in Boston in May 1914 aboard the SS Franconia the manifest spells his name as Tracey while his naturalisation papers spell the surname as Treacy.
