Additional Information: Brother of Mrs Delia Ann Scott widower, of Shrewsbury,  Massachusetts,also  Mrs Mary Katherine McDonnell also widowed and Mrs Margret Carroll all of Worchester Hall Shrewsbury. There was a picture of Michael in the Boston Globe on the 7 Aug 1918 and a short death notice the previous day. Michael is remembered on a memorial in a Shrewsbury High School, New Beal School have called their Theatre the Nee Auditorium after the WW1 hero in 2014. Michael is reported to have lived in Massachusetts for 12 years, thus it is likely to have arrived in Boston aboard the SS Ivernia in July 1911, believed to have been travelling to his sister Margaret. Tullycross is the last place of residence shown on his manifest.

Unan Voted to provide an appropriate Memorial Plaque for Pfc Michael Killed in Action near Tigny, France, 19 July 1918, during WW1. Chairman of the Beal School Building Committee,
Selectman James Kane and other Public Officials, to convey the Soldier’s Memorial Commission’s desire
to provide this Memorial Plaque for Pfc Nee, following the same action of 1923, at the New Beal School.
