The Commonwealth War Graves Commission record the date of death as 28 march 1916 . However,  the Family have a letter of condolence written by father Brown ( Irish Guards chaplain) dated 27 of March 1915. The letter  states that he was killed on 26 March. It was included in the  Galway and the the Great war, P.175
