NEWS UPDATE – June 26, 2022 – Dublin, Ireland:
Directors of the Galway Great War Memorial; Jim Larkin, Dolores Brogan-Curran and Declan Ganley, enjoying an afternoon at the Áras an Uachtaráin garden party.
The weather remained sunny for most of the afternoon with musicians, speeches, photo ops and a spot of afternoon tea and sandwiches.
Now, the work continues to gain traction for our mission and promote our website www.galwaygreatwarmemorial.com Those who never made it home must not be forgotten.
1,204 souls from Galway, buried in far off lands, scattered to the four winds, where nobody knows their names.
Our mission, is to have those four winds blow gently on our memorial back in Galway, where these soldiers will be remembered in a single location for evermore.
